Am I the only one who welcomes google as the worlds future overlord? Better google than someone who doesn’t have all my information…
oh wow! this is great! now all i need if an app that can help me track down my children, in case they get abducted by Mexicans! great job google, keep up the good capitalist work! YOU GO GOOGLE!
JAPANESE ARE USING THIS SERVICE SINCE MANY YEARS. Even a simple handset in Japan has this service. Japanese handsets are really nice.
@Davontefied No, anyone who steals your phone cannot access your Wallet as it is secured with a PIN code. Mind you this is safer than carrying a credit card. I can’t believe a wrong fact is as top comment…
EXCELLENT CONCEPT!!
Is this only Available to Citi Bank customers? I have a Mastercard, but no Citi bank
@meyoutoobthem Yeah i heard of that error. But if that is sorted out and the “picture-trick” won’t work any longer, then it would be cool.
Wait so is this really going to be the future soon? Or will the world have to wait a couple of generations before this is mainstream?
This has already been used in some Scandinavian countries for years now. Its coming to you, once we convince everyone it is “for their own protection”. It is just a matter of applying the technology with a good GUI.
@Mr8BitHero1 Nope! Its also available to Mastercard as said in the video. And even if you didn’t have both of those, theirs the prepaid card called “GCard” (Google Card), You set up any credit card you own on their, and use that instead.
I like it
The day I give up all my info like this is the day I die, there is really no advantage to it, it’s not any quicker than swiping your card,
What are you smoking crack.
Fuck Verizon.
OK it’s good idea but what if my phone shut down or my battery is low ?
OK GOOGLE HAD UA ASKED UR SELF IT ACN SUPPLY WALLETS WHAT HAPPEN IF SOMEONE STEAL MY CELLPHONE???
@rsandoval1396 Did you not hear? It is locked with a PIN code, so no one can use it unless they know your pin code. It’s much safer than a physical credit card.
Now if the could only do something about my keys, license and ID.
@Mr8BitHero1 They did said that if you do not have a MasterCard account you can transfer you funds to your Google account and use them as your bank. Kind of like PayPal.
but if your phone runs out of battery? no more money for you….
@ReynaldoCort As NFC technology takes off in the next 10-20 years, we’ll begin to see door locks with NFC technology, and various IDs. I’d give NFC-based Drivers Licenses 35 years at least.
And during these next decades, batteries will get better and better. What we’re seeing here is the beginning of a new standard of payment and authentication. The beginnings of digitizing our everyday belongings.
and then you run out of battery…
like if you have google wallet and still use an actual wallet
Ok, if I replaced my wallet with my phone, what am I going to show the cops as my form of ID?
